身體檢查是了解健康狀況、潛在風險因素的重要途徑。香港基督教女青年會（女青）最新調查發現，本港女士對身體檢查的意識甚低，超過四成受訪女士從未接受身體檢查或婦科檢查；她們對於主要婦女疾病，包括可導致子宮頸癌的HPV病毒感染的認識亦不多。有女士就曾因為兩次身體檢查，兩度挽回性命。醫生及社工均認為調查結果響起警號，呼籲婦女及早從日常生活開始，多加投資及關注個人健康。
