Some experts predict that by 2050, half the world’s population will be myopic, with 10% having high myopia. 眼瘡（英文：Chalazion）又稱眼挑針、麥粒腫，是一種常見的眼科疾病。眼睛的眼瞼邊緣有瞼板腺（Meibomian Gland），透過分泌油脂減少淚水揮發，保持眼睛濕潤。當瞼板腺內的油脂腺閉塞，油脂無法排出就會積聚，久而久之會形成腫粒，亦即眼瘡。
