Recently, Chiron Medical was honored to co-host the "Level Up HPV Awareness: AXA x FemWell Family Health Day" event with AXA in the FemWell, aimed at enhancing families' understanding and health awareness of the human papillomavirus (HPV).

We were very pleased to see many parents bringing their sons to participate in the health talk and workshops, as well as receive on-site vaccination, proactively planning for their children's long-term health. Beyond dispelling common HPV myths, the event also provided families with a valuable opportunity for face-to-face consultations with professional doctor to address their questions.

Highlights of the Event:

• Both males and females should pay attention to the impacts of HPV.
• The ideal age for HPV vaccination is between 9 to 14 years, as the immune response is most favorable during this period.
• Vaccination is the first line of defense against HPV, and regular health check-ups are equally important for comprehensive protection.

Dr. Leung Yuk Luen, Frances, a specialist in the emergency medicine at Chiron Medical, shared after the health talk that parents showed great enthusiasm and actively asked questions, reflecting their deep concern for their children's health. She also pointed out that although the government's free HPV vaccination program does not yet cover boys in Hong Kong, many parents hope that boys can pay early attention to HPV prevention and be protected through vaccination.
