In recognition of World Voice Day, Chiron Medical Group partnered with the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers to host a voice health workshop on 11 April at the Hong Kong Cultural Core.
Teachers are among the professional groups most susceptible to voice strain, and our ENT specialist delivered an evidence-based session on voice care, the causes and implications of hoarseness, available treatment options, and effective speaking techniques for educators. Selected participants also underwent laryngoscopy for further clinical assessment.
The workshop was well received, with all surveyed participants reporting greater awareness of voice health and a stronger intention to apply the knowledge gained in their daily professional practice. The session also facilitated the identification of participants requiring further medical follow-up.
