Recently, the medical field has introduced new technology that allows doctors to employ a novel method called Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) for suitable cases. This technique uses shockwave energy to break apart calcified plaques, effectively opening the artery and allowing for stent placement to restore normal blood flow.
